This is my life.
Born and raised in the south, I continue to live in North Carolina with my husband and kids. I have two boys, ages 1 and 4. My degree is in education, although I'll more than likely never use it again. My heart lies in communications. Originally I went to school for Broadcast Journalism. A proposal, marriage, and the Army altered my career path slightly and I ended up teaching kindergarten. Today, I am a very happy stay at home mom just starting my business in the health and wellness industry. In my spare time...not that I have any before Midnight...I drink wine and read trashy romance novels. I am married to the funniest man I have ever met. He's super hot too. Win-Win. I drank the Crossfit Koolaid in December 2012 but have recently taken a step back. I love all forms of fitness and enjoy a spin class as much as a WOD, and Step class as much as a pump session on the free weights.

My Paleo History
My family has been eating Paleo off and on for almost two years. I am very much a 60/40 in terms of the frequency of my diet. Some weeks I am 80/20, others I forget anything I've ever been taught about food and binge eat and drink for seven days straight (this would be vacation time). One thing I have learned through this journey, though, is if you want to see results in your body (not just weight or appearance but energy and illness), you have to feed it right. When I eat strict paleo for an extended period, I have a flat, cute stomach. Unfortunately, I love food. I love going out to eat. And most of all, I love french fries. You can take you desserts and run along. My weakness is salt. Salty fries, salty chips, salty goodness. Which also explains why I retain so much water when I am not focusing on my diet.
