Have you ever had one of those days where you just wish you were allowed to say the most profanity laced thing to pretty much anyone that says or posts something idiotic. Believe me, I know I post my share of things that people probably have people saying, "she's a moron" or "shut up Cari", but today my patience was gone. Today I was zero tolerance for anything. Even happy people made me mad. What in the world was going on with me. I think the stress of the holidays already hit making me a nut job today. I had a glass of red wine though, out of a clear plastic cup left over from Bunco, and was able to unwind a bit.
Drew said I haven't been cooking a whole lot lately, which would explain the lack of posts on here in the last week or two. I've had a lot of projects in the work and cannot wait to release a few new additions to Pretty Pretty Paleo(ish). In the mean time my posts might be sporadic (thanks for teaching me that word, Clueless). We have one more night before starting all of our Thanksgiving festivities so I want to eat as clean as possible because I know Wednesday night will be filled with copious amounts of unhealthy beverages as I see friends from high school for our annual Thanksgiving Reunion. I feel so lucky to still keep in touch, however infrequent, with the group of kids I grew up with. Such a different life than what I live now. It worries me to think about Mason and Jackson growing up in a military home and not having that same foundation that I was lucky enough to get. Anyway, I like to enjoy myself and my beverages Wednesday and then I have the next two days to survive through feast after feast. Fortunately, my dad is pretty health conscious so I know at least one of our Thanksgiving meals will be healthy.
Oh.. is this a food blog?
I guess you want a recipe. I've been wanting to order Chinese Food for a while so I thought I'd attempt a healthy version of one of Drew's favorites. Disclaimer- it's not fried, it's not sugary sauce, therefore, it's not really like take out.
